Sydney

Hello again from Sydney! We mastered the train/bus system from Clayton to Melbourne CBD (central business district) and then the bus to the airport. The whole check-in/security process was very, very lax. We printed our boarding passes online and when we went through security, they never looked at my passport, visa, or that I had a boarding pass. They were more concerned that I was going to use my umbrella as a weapon! :) We had a very nice flight to Sydney and were picked up at the airport by our hostel.

Once we settled in to our um...interesting accomodations, we headed out to Darling Harbour. This is a really neat section of Sydney and has the aquarium, IMAX theater, and lots of fun activities for kids. We found somewhere to eat dinner and then walked along the harbour after we got some ice cream. We found some touristy-type shops where I finally found a good phone card to use and we went into a pharmacy to buy some water. For you pharmacy folk, they sell atrovent, rhinocort, lomotil, allegra, and zyrtec over-the-counter and have now moved their sudafed behind the counter to follow suit what is going on in the US.

We head to the Blue Mountains today for a day tour! It looks like we might get to see either Don Quixote or MacBeth at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday! Hope you all have a wonderful day/night!

Go Lady Vols!

:) Leslie
